India Post has invited applications to fill the posts of 233 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in Delhi Postal Circle. The application forms are available on the official website of India Post. Candidates can submit applications by 26 February. The rural post servant profile includes branch postmaster, assistant branch postmaster, and post servant. The candidate who is applying for the post of Branch Postmaster will have to provide accommodation for the Branch Post Office after selection but before joining. Candidates should have at least 60 days Basic Computer Training Course Certificate from any computer training institute run by the Central Government or State Government or organizations of Universities or Boards or Private Institutions. “Basic computer knowledge certificate is not required in cases where the candidate has studied computer as a subject in Matriculation or Class XII or any other higher academic level and a separate certificate will not be required in such cases.” India Post has said in the notification of the job.
Age limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 40 years. The age limit will be calculated on 27 January 2021. In the maximum age limit, relaxation of five years will be given to scheduled castes, three years to OBC category and 10 years to differently-abled people. Selection Process: Based on the online submission applications of the candidates, the merit list will be prepared and selected. Candidates having higher educational qualification will not get any kind of priority. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in 10th standard. If the applicant has chosen five posts as a priority and gets selected for more than one post on the basis of merit, then he / she will be selected for the same post.
